Ministerial assistance is part of a Helps Ministry. A Helps Ministry is one of the most misunderstood parts of the structure of a church. Many just stay with a function of practical help, ignoring that we we see in the translation perspective of the calling, From the Old Testament to the New Testament, the effect of helping, rendering assistance. The Hebrew word is  ʿēzer – which literally translates to “the strong helper”. This word has been used to identify humans like Eve to the very presence of God, The word can become helper, ally, or rescuer.

In the New Testament, there are Greek words, boēthos//boētheia and antílēpsis, provide insight into the concept of “Helps’.

  • boēthos//boētheia – can be applied simultaneously to the Hebrew word ʿēzer . Helper and assistance applies.
  • antílēpsis, – means help, assistance, ore relief and does link to the role in 1 Corinthians 12:28., yet this is more than volunteers, but a level of Spirit-given gift of practical support.

Then Ministerial Assistance, an aspect of antílēpsis, is where we concentrate providing outreach opportunities in developing leadership and mentorship, resource development in aiding partnering groups maintain efficiency and support, or through aiding in offering retreats and refuges. While both efforts of There and Back support this concept, There and Back Journey offers solutions in broad formats for secular audience, where There and Back Advisory narrows the direction to support organizations at the partnership level.

There is a unifying mission — “There and Back” symbolizes growth, return, and renewal. A key factor, then has to be aligned with the concept to build and plant. The journey we are talking about is one where our Father has given us a path, a direction in life and when we about the assignment, we acknowledge the Kingdom. We forge new relationships and gain new learning’s when a seed is planted.
